Debra, Do you know the Chambers of Commerce of Bovard, PA, since you have connections. I have some possible connections there, but don't know where its at? Anything would be good, or if you know of a genealogy society there. It borders the City's western neighborhoods.? (There is also an Upper Yoder Township, population a little over 5,000, that also borders the City.? These are both named for my grandmother's ancestors, the Yoder family.) > > There is a Tannersville up in the Poconos--I only know that because I used to work for an outlet chain and we had a store there! > > However, if you mean Tanneryville, that is also a suburb on Johnstown's western City limits.? Not surprisingly, it was named for the tannery that was once in operation there.? Hi Cathy-- Yes, I have a listing of every chamber of commerce in the world at my office.? Bovard doesn't ring any bells, though, and I can't find it on a map.? Do you know what county it's in?? Not every town has it's own chamber--a lot of the smaller towns especially are just part of a county chamber. --Debra -----Original Message----- From: Cathy Raber <pigeonrock@earthlink.net> To: padutch-life@rootsweb.com Sent: Sun, 12 Aug 2007 12:28 am Subject: Re: [PD-LIFE] Lower Yoder Twp:Debra?
