Saturday Sept 29, 2007 will be the annual Smithsonian Museum Day. Museum Day is a nationwide event where participating museums and cultural institutions across the country offer free admission to Smithsonian readers and Smithsonian.com visitors, allowing for one day only, the free-admission policy of Smithsonian's Washington, D.C.-based facilities to be emulated across the country. Just go to the website at http://www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/ to find out more (you don't have to be a subscriber to Smithsonian Magazine to participate inthis program). You can click on "Find A Museum" to locate a participating museum in your area and Click on "Admission Card" to print out a FREE GENERAL ADMISSION CARD to the participating Museum of your choice for Sept 29. That card is good for you and one guest. One free admission card per household. In the state of Pennsylvania alone, there are 30 institutions to choose from and I'm sure more will be added.
