Hi Richard Emlin Reed!!!! :o) I'm here, just was busy getting the meal all together to take to my inlaws' for my mother-in-law's birthday celebration yesterday. They couldn't come down because of my father-in-law's back, so it took a lot more planning to keep everything hot for the trip to Ephrata, but it was an enjoyable day, and the meal came out GREAT, for everyone, including my father-in-law who doesn't eat what we had for the main meal, spaghetti, so I made him something different as for the meat portion, and then he just filled in with the spaghetti noodles (without the sauce), and string beans. The cake I made didn't turn out the way it did when I was in my teens, but everyone really liked it, so I have another recipe to add to the manual. Well, it's not a new recipe, just the directions are different. Glad you tested the list, because I didn't have time to go wherever it is we are to go to to see if the list is down. I'm really tired today for some reason_guess everything I did over the weekend, brought too many chemicals to atach my body_so I probably won't be posting for a few days. But, I am HERE!!!! Waiting to read everyone's posts ! Take care and THANKS, Richard, for sharing all your thoughts and German lessons!!!!! They are so appreciated. :o) Lynn Richard Emlin Reed sent a "test" message :o)
Well, thang yewww, Mrs Vondran. Glad to learn that you and the list are up and running. I belong to several lists and amn't getting traffic from any. I suspected my server and/or my computer. Sorry about your fil's back. My wife and I both have back problems; but I, with a cane, and she, with a walker and a wheel chair, manage to get out and around. How else would we get to the doctors to find out what's wrong with us. I didn't know there was a place to go to find out if the list is down. Duhhh! Yes, I believe Joan Young sent it one time, when all the AOL users were having problems. I really don't remember where it is to go, but maybe Joan can enlighten us on how to find out :o) Yes, I imagine that I "amn't" going to be able to walk, someday, without help, because of back problems from birth, and more since, and they haunt me every year at one time or other. So, I understand the pains in the back. Yes, he gets around, but it was just really flared up recently, so they sent him for another MRI since he hadn't had one in a while. With orders from his doctor, he is not suppose to ride in the car for that long a trip (30 mins. each way), plus right now he is to lay down as much as possible, until they can see him on Wednesday to let him know what they are going to be able to do for him. He has the same thing that my uncle has, where the bone is tightening around the main nerves in the spine? Growing closed around them tightly_it begins with an "S"? I can't remember exactly what it is, nor exactly what it is called_plus he has something like 3 herniated disks, and something else with another disk? And just found this all out, so it wasn't to his best interest to come here. I know he felt badly that I had to bring the dinner there, but NO problem AT all :o) Backs!!! UGH, what do we need them for, except to look more like something than blobs with apendages :o) LOL!!!! No, we NEED them. The German for "Back Problems" is...............?????? :o) Lynn Richard Emlin Reed wrote: Well, thang yewww, Mrs Vondran. Glad to learn that you and the list are up and running.
