Its been a long time since I cleaned a snapping turtle and cooked one..(I was a cook in a restaurant) I was more worried about the neighbor kids getting bit so I didn't tell them it was there them later when I went to take a picture of it it was gone.. a few days later I saw a smashed one on the hwy about the same size and I 'm thinking he didn't make it across the road.. Awwwwww :o( I have a picture of a snapping turtle that Mom said was the one they had for supper at camp one year, when she was younger. I have a shell of a small one that I use for my daycare.
