They form the shoulder of Taurus the Bull. The most interesting thing about this "cluster" is that when you look at them straight on you don't see them as clearly as you do if you look slightly off center using your peripheral vision. It is kind of an eye test to try that. <g> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleiades_(star_cluster) Joan ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour

Look up and it will the brightest spot in the that part of the sky. :-) For the cluster, the Seven Sisters, I'll have to look at that one a little more closely. Thanks! Rick B

    3. Thanks, Joan. I remember that from going to the Star Gazers' at Sam Lewis Park a few years ago. It was a gorgeous night that night. Clear skies, only that one tiny light off in the distance, lots of beautiful sights!!! Lots of telescopes pointed at the different stars and planets. I could be a Star Gazer easily, if I could be around a lot of people. To go there by my self would be too dangerous in this day and age. But, if anyone is in the York County area, and you want to see the stars, go to the big hill at Sam Lewis Park, and you'll see a beautiful sight on a clear night. :o) Lynn PS Yes, the light does polute the sky in many areas. I loved to watch the sky down on the farm before "Grammom" had the flood light put in, after "Grampop" passes away. It was as though you could touch the stars!!!
