It all boils down to the fact that we each have to be our own advocates in managing our health and we have to listen to what our bodies are telling us if/when something doesn't seem "right" to us--we need to insist that our doctors LISTEN to us -- which many do not. Doctors often come back to you with statements like mine did -- "you aren't a chemist or scientist and you don't understand that these things are not possible." And then later on they learn that, indeed, these things ARE possible. My asthma specialist (former) said that MTBE was a form of ether and the tiny particles couldn't cause respiratory problems because they were too tiny. Now they learn that this is precisely WHY they can cause health issues--they are such tiny particles they are absorbed easily into the body AND leech into the water supply. Mike and I always say that there is a GREAT money making, that we don't know about, like kickbacks, and all other kinds of under the table exchanges going on in the drug industry, as well as most manufacturing.
