It's been one heck of a week-lots of calls back and forth with the in-laws in MI, lots of yelling and fighting (them, and then hubby and I), lots of misinformation and LOTS of lies. I swear I thought I was going to have a stroke the other day. I feel the family was trying to get cash money out of my husband (he told them he was getting money from a bereavement fund at work) to buy their drugs (both the bro and sis haven't been working in the past couple months). He wanted to send the money to have his mother's cremation paid for and to pay on the bill from his father's funeral (we found they still owed quite a bit). The brother kept coming up with changing stories about what he wanted the money spent on-first it was back taxes (I checked the amount and we agreed to pay it), then?it was to keep the property, then it was to change name on deed and the list goes on and the amounts kept getting higher. I called the county in MI and spoke with people and found out the truth, passed it onto my hubby and we decided to do what we felt best. Now the brother and a sister are mad at the other sister and furious with me and won't speak with my hubby. He has basically washed his hands of his bro and sis. I figure they'll get over it in a few days and everything will be back to normal. We went through similar last year when my father-in-law passed. ? ?It's been a heck of a roller coaster and it has not even been a week since my m-i-l's passing. Everything came to a head on Friday. So the weekend was pleasant but I'm waiting for the other shoe. Hubby and I had our first major fight ever on Wednesday night (we've been together for 10 years). We even went to bed mad, well I was furious! I had to eventually go outside and sit in the 20* weather at 2am just to keep from bursting into flame. He rolled over and went to sleep. Men!! ? All seems well at this time. We have told the family we cannot make the funeral in July and may not visit for quite some time to come. Hubby said he's not going until the bro and sis apologize for their actions and he gets a 'thank you' for all he has done. That will happen when you-know-where freezes over! lol ? Sorry if I bent anyone's ear too much. It feels good to get it out. tracy ? --- On Mon, 1/26/09, Becky?wrote: ? Thanks Connie! It's great to know the "family" is there to listen. Sometimes that is the best medicine. tracy --- On Mon, 1/26/09, Connie wrote: This all part of the list, Tracy. We are here for you. Connie
