    3. What a great idea! I have a Magic Bullet. I'll bet this would work in there, too. Next time you make it, Don, add a tiny touch of sour cream and a touch of garlic powder, too. Just a way to kick the taste up a notch. I'm going to have to try this. I used it to chop vegetables and so on, and it worked well. the other day I wanted some mash potatoes and my wife didn't. I boiled one potato, and rather than mash it any other way, I decided to put it in the Magic blender. Well, much to my surprise, it made some really good-looking potato soup! I added some green onions, and some fresh ground black pepper, put it back in the blender for a few seconds, and ate my "mashed potato soup". 3. I am looking over our subjects lately, and just wondering what our ancestors would have thought about these new gadgets we use daily :o) I know Grammom Rothenberger and Mom would say, "What will they think of next!!!" That's what they always said when something new came out. Don't hear people say that anymore_guess we are becoming numb to new inventions :o) Okay, what is a Magic Bullet, and where to you get one :o) You know me and gadgets!!!! I am waiting on a new glass bowl to try out my new FlavorWave. The glass bowl was defective, so they are sending me a new one. I can't wait to use it! A Magic Bullet? How much do they cost, and what all do you use one for? Are they easy to use, and clean? Oh, speaking of gadgets, in case I didn't mention it, don't buy that GT Express you see on TV. It throws a very caustic chemical smell into the air, that HAS to get into the food. I love the concept, but not at the cost of our health. Don't know how they can still have that advertised, it is that bad a smell from the non-stick coating. Wish it didn't smell like that. It only started smelling like that after a few times of using it. I thought maybe it was just the one, so I started using that other one, that came with the package, and sure enough, it smelled just as badly after a few uses. And, of course, it costs more to mail it back, than the cost of the product, so they are in one of my cabinets, just sitting there. I get them out to show company, at times, if I think about it, and warn them of the smell. Tell me more about the Magic Bullet! Thanks! :o) Lynn Mary wrote to Don in AZ: > What a great idea! 3. Lynn,    A Magic Bullet is a very small blender type set-up. It comes with a base and 4 cups, with lids and rings. You can make frozen drinks with them and a bunch more stuff. The info- mercial shows them making Alfredo sauce, salsa, drinks; grating hard cheeses, grinding coffee and microwaving right in the cup. They cost about $50 but can be found on sale for $40 or so. I received one for my birthday but have not used it yet. I can't wait until my hubby sets up ice maker in fridge so I can have ice cubes. Then I want to make shakes (ice, milk, flavorings). The Magic Bullet looks very easy to use and clean according to infomercial.   I think Walmart carries them. Mine was bought at Kohl's. I've seen them at Sears.   Drats about the GT Express! I really wanted one of those. :o(   tracy --- On Sun, 1/25/09, Lynn  wrote: A Magic Bullet? How much do they cost, and what all do you use one for? 3. Lynn, Here is the web site: http://www.buythebullet.com/ There is a video there that you may like to see. They have a special going, too. I bought mine from either HSN or QVC on sale. I used it for a lot of things as far as chopping, blending, grinding (coffee beans), etc. It is very easy to use, easy to clean up, and has a small footprint on the counter. I store all the additional things that come with it (pitcher, cups, lids, etc) in a cupboard. The cups are great for making drinks of all kinds. Blend up pancakes in the pitcher for easy pouring, or make a pitcher of lemonade for guests. You will need to shop around for the best prices. A lot of places have them in stock: Wal-Mart, Target, Sears, etc. I usually let my finger do the walking on line.... You can even try eBay.... Hang on..... Yep! they have all sorts of them out on eBay. You can even buy extra parts and pieces out there. Happy shopping.
