    3. Yes, there is one coming out this year. I believe I just read from someone on the list that it is Windows 7? Maybe that is why Mike is holding off getting a laptop of his own. Being a computer analyst/programmer, he doesn't like the mess that some of the things we ran into, that should be very easy to do, were not smoothly done. After a hard day's work, he doesn't need the headache that Bill Gates offers with Vista. Some say it shouldn't have ever been released to the public_we agree!!! When he wants to calm down from work, I let him play my Mahjong games. He has to have it far away from him to see it. Yes, I wish the screen were farther away, too, but I really like the fact that I can take the laptop and work on it wherever I want to, as long as I have a socket to plug in my surge protector. Anyone with a laptop know of ways to make your battery last longer? I heard you are suppose to let the battery run all the way down once a month, to prolong its life, but I haven't read that yet in any of my books, yet. Anyone ever hear of that? What's the whole scoop on doing that? Thanks! Have to eat, and get ready for shopping. Stay warm, take care this weekend, and don't forget to let me know if you want to be on the Monday emailing of THE MANUAL. Also, in case you can't open THE MANUAL, one of our list members, Brenda, sent through something that might help you. If you can't open it, just let me know and I'll pass the message on to you again, and hope it helps. Have a GREAT weekend!!! Talk on Monday, or if I am sending THE MANUAL before then, you'll be hearing from me, but remember, don't let that keep you from requesting it, if you miss this time around. Hugs and Smiles! 2. I vaguely remember the only batteries to let run down were phone batteries.? I never use my lap top without it being plugged in.? The battery is to keep back up for when the machine is off or for short uses.? They are too expensive to run down completely.? That is just my take on it.?
