Lynn, If you don't drink a lot of coffee and want some really good ones to try, sign up with Boca Java. They also have teas. By normal standards, it is a little pricey, but well worth the money for great coffee, once you have found the ones you like. You can buy already ground or whole bean to grind your own fresh; and they come I a variety of grinds: light, medium, and dark roasted. I have also tried Gevalia, but I don't like them as well, and they are more expensive. As far as store coffees go, I love Maxwell House, 8 O'clock, and Folgers. We also have tried some of the grinds from The Dollar Store or Big Lots, if you have those stores around you. I have to say I found some of the best coffee there, but also some of the very worst... YUCK!!! Ptooey!!! Those make good 'mixers'. You'll find the ones that you like by sampling. Have fun!! Hugs, Mary PS I cancelled my doctor's appointment, but we still have one at noon to look at a building that's for sale. It is 10:00 AM and only '0' degrees. At 6:00 AM, it was -10° without the wind chill figured in........ I'm ready for spring to be sprung! -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lynn Vondran Sent: Thursday, January 15, 2009 6:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [PD-LIFE] THE MANUAL and stuff Hi Sally!! I actually perked a few cups of coffee this evening!!! Since we just purchased our first coffee maker, we've been trying to find a good ground coffee. So, someone where Mike works brought in a packet of the coffee they get delivered to their house. I was anxious to try it out, to compare it to the Folgers we already had. We think we like the coffee my "Aunt" Becky serves us when we visit with her on the 4th of July. She uses 8 O'clock Coffee. So far, it's winning in the taste contest :o) Lynn
