Thanks Tracy!! So it's about the same as my dear OLD Sears Insta-Blend from 1974, that I inherited from Mom when she passed away. Just got it out to experiment on my own hot sauce last night. Mike told me the old thing was VERY loud :o) LOL!!!! It kinda does sound like a jackhammer! When it dies, I'll have to get one of those bullets. I think I could have gotten two with my NuWave, paying for shipping and handling, which would come to almost what you pay for them_they know how to get their money out of you. But, we didn't get them, because I knew I saw something out on the market, that was like a small blendar in case I would ever need a new one. :o) Lynn PS Yes, Tracy, NO to the GT Express. Really sad, too, because it was very easy to use, and cleanup was a breeze, but the chemical smell it threw into the air_VERY dangerous, and I really, really don't see how they are selling so many. It was really a vicious smell. Tracy wrote: Lynn, A Magic Bullet is a very small blender type set-up. It comes with a base and 4 cups, with lids and rings. You can make frozen drinks with them and a bunch more stuff. The info- mercial shows them making Alfredo sauce, salsa, drinks; grating hard cheeses, grinding coffee and microwaving right in the cup. They cost about $50 but can be found on sale for $40 or so. I received one for my birthday but have not used it yet. I can't wait until my hubby sets up ice maker in fridge so I can have ice cubes. Then I want to make shakes (ice, milk, flavorings). The Magic Bullet looks very easy to use and clean according to infomercial. I think Walmart carries them. Mine was bought at Kohl's. I've seen them at Sears. Drats about the GT Express! I really wanted one of those. :o(
