Sally, Same here in Vestal, NY where I live...... Always tomato soup and grilled cheese..... BTW, if you want an easy way to make a grilled cheese with a lot less fat, here is what I do: Toast 2 slices of bread Use Land 'O Lakes Fresh Buttery Taste (good for you) to butter it Arrange your cheese between the slices Pop it in the microwave for a few seconds until you see the cheese start to bubble out. YUM!!! I find myself sitting here at my computer with a smile on my face, one thought leads to another and fond memories pop into my mind. Sometimes I shed a tear or two but it is a happy tear (which are the best) because I am thinking of happy things and a by=gone era. I am from New Jersey and we always had tomoato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches. Sometimes we would put some Shredded Cheese or pieces of left over bacon crumpled up, or leftover veggies, I think mom was cleaning out the refrigerator on Friday night! Hugs to you all.
