    2. God Bless you, Mary, for that little bit of light for us all. We have had the darkest day of this winter and it will only get better after Mom Nature gets the snow out of her system. We had snow today here in PA but the sun was shinning part of the time. Still a pretty good dusting. Covered ALL the grass this time. 3. Hi, Tracy, Here are a couple of suggestions I have used in the past: If you have recipes that you need to see both sides, use page protectors. They are acid free; and you can hold small recipes in place by putting a small piece of tape on the top of the recipe. You can easily get your hand inside the pocket protector ; and you can fit several in each protector that way and you can see the back of the recipe by flipping the page over. It keeps the recipes clean and preserved forever. There is also a spray glue that artists and people who do 'mock ups' use. You spray the paper to which you are going to adhere something and place what you are gluing on it. If you place the piece immediately, it will be a permanent bond. If you wait a minute or two to place the piece, it will be moveable. It is not messy either. I lay whatever I am spraying on a clean towel or pillowcase to catch any over-spray, and it easily washes out of the fabric. 3. What I usually do with newspaper and magazine clippings is make a copy of them on printer paper and put them in a notebook binder. I have a recipe book that I have put together that way and have also put together one that I have typed the recipes in it. Newspaper and magazine clippings age and may become hard to read. Another thing you can do is scan them into your computer and keep them in a file and print the recipe when you want to use it. I have a recipe folder on my computer and do that with some recipes Don in AZ

    3. Hey Tracy: I buy inexpensive photo albums in an AC Moore or Wal Mart Dollar Stores where ever I can find them and put my recipes in them a book for desserts and one for main dishes veggies etc and one or appetizers and snacks or whatever you like and the plastic photo covering are great so that the recipe don't get dirty. If the paper is too big I just fold it to fit. 3. Some sort of acid free glue would be good.  Only problem would be if you needed to be able to see both sides.  You could also get a looseleaf photo album with those pages with pockets for the photos and just put a recipe in each one.  they come in all different sizes. 2. Do any of you have Norwegian ancestors. I couldn't resist a five cent book at a garage sale. It was published in1949 but has pictures taken in 1932 1nd 1933. Lots and lots of indexed names and identified pictures. Even a very worn large map. When I bought it I thought it was German, but a friend who speaks German said no. Because the price was listed in Kronan I checked the internet encyclopedia and found out the currancy is Norwegian. The book is very worn and has no covers at all. 1. [PD-LIFE] Merry Christmas!
    2. Mary Sayman
    3. Hi, Everyone. This year has been an interesting year for my husband and me, to say the least. We have had some traumatic events through which the existence of the goodness of human kind was reinforced, and the existence of God was proven to us beyond the shadow of doubt. He sent His Angels to us when we needed them most; and we've learned what the power of prayer can accomplish. We also witnessed some Blessed events, including two marriages: the first for two of our dearest friends; the second for my wonderful brother who, with his lovely bride, will be sharing dinner with us and a couple of our neighbors on Christmas Day. Because I've been having a bit of difficulty physically over the past several months, I ordered a complete dinner for 10-12 people from a restaurant this year. I am so thankful that I did because yesterday afternoon I blew my hip out again. My chiropractor was able to see me this morning before any other patients arrived and put it back in place. I am so very Blessed! We've made some new friends for whom we are eternally grateful; and we've lost some old ones who will be sharing repast at the Lord's table this year. I can't help but think how Blessed they are! To all of my friends on the PA Dutch Life List who mean so much to me, I pray you the Joy and Blessings that only the Son of God can bring to your life. I add my wishes that you have a wonderful and exciting new year filled with lots of love, happiness, and awesome new adventures. Thank you for all your prayers, thoughts and well wishes throughout this trying year.I count you all my "family" in my heart and pray for each every day.    I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas already! We've been making cookies since last Saturday and I am EXHAUSTED! The tree is standing but bare. I told Mom whatever she could reach would get decorated and she thinks I'm kidding.  I'm not. I've got way to much to do to decorate a tree. It'll look like Charlie Brown's tree! :o)   Love you all, tracy
