Hi, Can anyone on this list please help me in some way to found out the parents names of my grandfather.His parents were both born in Russia.I don't know when they came to the USA. All I know is my grandfather change his name from a Russian name to Patrick.He had a temp .home in Philadelphia .He served in the Army Engineers from beginning of World War II,until he retired in 1952 with rank of Major.most of his service in the Far East Here is something someone sent me from the 1900 NARA soundex for Penn .Code P362-code 1 1/2 reels of film ward 3m,pg2B I have no way to check this out can someone on this list in that area see what they can find out. I have been heading hugh bricks walls with him and his parents. Oh ,by the way his wife name was Ethel Irene Tavener {b}1894 {d}1969 the last know address I have was 843Sickley Ave ,Philadephia ,Penn. I have tied to check the Social Sercurity dealth .nothing I don't know when the parents became citizens . I don't know when my grandfather change his last name Does anyone know the names of funeral homes in Philadelphia There was one that had to ship my grandfathers body to Covington ,Kentucky to be buried Please can anyone do what they can find out what they can so I can get over this hugh wall. Or give me some ideas .for example some one said try looking up in the census from 1900-1930 AND another brick wall

Parents born Russia age 23 when married Ethel D 34 born KY age when marr. 16 Louis J 10 born Ohio Betty J 8 born Ohio Hugh 6 born KY Donald X 1 1/12 born KY Death record: Louis J. Patrick age 14 died July 4, 1934 in Kenton, KY. Seems as though this would be the son above.
