I've been working with microfilmed phone books for Delaware County recently. The Philadelphia Free Library has them back to at least 1930, I believe, and I would hope that Delaware Cty libraries might have earlier ones. I don't know about city directories. Sometime ago I believe I asked for the same question, but dont remember the answer. Perhaps searching the archive for the mailing list might show it. How you would go about getting access to these phonebooks on microfilm I don't know. I don't think the LDS has filmed them. You can try interlibrary loans if this period is of any interest to you. jo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Herb E.
