After scanning the original invoices for the funerals of my great grandmother, Mary Boyle, and her daughter, Catherine Boyle, I noticed that each had a charge of $1 for a permit. In Catherine's case, it says that the permit was issued in Philadelpha county, and that's where I found her death certificate. There is no description of what kind of permit it is, but maybe a burial permit? Or maybe the death certificate? Mary Boyle's invoice says the charge was for Delaware county. Mary was buried some place unknown and reinterred in Holy Cross Cemetery, Philadelphia. I have not found her death certificate in Philadelphia. Noticing that charge on the invoice makes me wonder if she may have died in Delaware county and was buried there originally. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? This makes me think I might FINALLY get a death date for Mary and maybe why she died at age 45. Pam Wagoner
