I just learned that I am related to the family descended from Eugene Stirlite (Hardouin). My Great Grandfather was Henri Charles Hardouin. He was the son of Dominique Hardouin and Jeanne Eugenie Poulain and born in Nantes, France 26 May 1839; entered the U.S. in 1875. Married Marie Louise Houlmann born in Bern, Switzerland 7 March 1847. They both came to U.S. and had one child, my Grandmother Eugenie Julie Hardouin. Henri died in 1910 and Marie Louise in 1897. Their daughter Eugenie married my Grandfather, John Joseph Doyle and they had 6 children. Eugene Hardouin married Annie Quigley, changed his name to Stirlite and his descendants eventually settled in Wilmington, DE. I have been in contact with a member of his family, Carlos Ruth of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. I would enjoy hearing from any Hardouin/Stirlite descendants and sharing information. Helen (Doyle) Gallo
