Seeking possible leads to MARY PEARSON. The 1880 Census list her as 1 year old, living at 118 E. Fourth Street, Chester City, PA. and the granddaughter of Dr, John M. Allen. The only other reference to her is in an April 20, 1903 newspaper article about the death of Dr. John M. Allen. It states she "faithfully waited on him the night before his death." He died at the same address as above. This indicates to me she was born either late 1878 or early 1879 and would have been 23 or 24 at the time of her grandfather's death. Is it possible any school records exist that may lead me to her birth date or her parents name. I have considerable info on Dr. John Allen, who was my great grandfather. This info includes the birth and death dates of his daughters and his sons. As far as I can determine the sons were the only ones to marry. Is it possible that a son married a widow PEARSON with a daughter. If so she must have died shortly thereafter as the two sons are listed in the 1880 Census as living with their father but no listing of a wife for either.
