I am ready to swear that somewhere in Ashmead's Delaware Co. History online, I read an account of a flood in which there was mention of a (John?) Maloy who acted swiftly to warn the populace of the coming torrent and saved someone's life as well. At the time I didn't think the man mentioned was one of mine and so I didn't bookmark the pages. Now I have learned a bit more and I think he might be one of mine but I cannot find any mention of him in Ashmead at all--anywhere. My family is from Avondale (now Crum Lynn) so I have gone page by page through Ridley Township and used the search engine for both Malloy and Maloy but with no luck at all. So, Am I just crazy and making things up? Am I missing it somehow? Or is there some other online resource that has it and I am just confused? Any and all help much appreciated! Margaret
