Maybe I am missing something that you may see that I do not. Here is my brief summary. John Ferrigan arrived in the Port of Philadelphia in 1844 according to his naturalization papers. If you look at the 1850 census for a John Ferrigan(17) I can not find him in Pennsylvania. Although, a Patrick Ferrigan sponsored John Ferrigan for his US citizenship. I can find both men in the 1860 Census but not in the 1870 census. Maybe someone can help me figure this out. Have spent so much time looking. Not sure on name variations, although someone have suggested "ferigan" with one "r". Maybe your experience could help. ------------------------- CENSUS DATA FOR 1860 Below.
