I am looking for the graves of my ggggrandfather, Seth Thomas, and his wife, Prudence Edwards Thomas. Seth lived in the Media/Nether Providence area most of his life. He was not a Quaker. (His wife, Prudence Edwards, was disowned for marrying out of the church.) The family was probably Anglican to begin with; they ended up being Methodists. He is listed in some records I have as being a "gentleman." Seth died in 1827, his will is on file in DelCo.; his house was the "Seth Thomas house" at 8 S. Providence Road. His son, Seth C. Thomas, who was a county coroner, is buried in the Old Union Methodist Church cemetery in the Nether Providence area. I have been to the Media Cemetery, he is not buried there. The records on the DelCo GenWeb site are not complete, I can't find him in the records that are there. I figure I am going to have to go cemetery hopping, but I would like to know what cemeteries were in operation in 1827 that are in the Media/Nether P/Wallingford areas, and where they are located. I don't live close by, so I would like to make sure I am not driving all over in the wrong directions. :) Obviously he could have been buried on the Providence Road property, but knowing my family, they would have wanted to be buried at church with a headstone....so everyone would stop and visit... ;) I'm sure he's around somewhere. Trust me, the Thomas egos haven't changed in 175+ years....lol.....I could tell you stories..... Thanks in advance for any help!!!! Lynn
