Hi Helen. I use GOOGLE a lot... check out some of these that came up in the search. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=lenape%2C+dictionary http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=lenape Considering that we came from the Philadelphia and surrounding counties, we walked on the lands that were once inhabited by the Leni Lenapes. I lived in Mt Airy and one of the old residents told us that we were living on stolen Lenape land. Many of my friends who live in Warrington and surrounding towns live on lands that were stolen from the Leni Lenapes through that "Pennsylvania Walking Purchase". The land land to be sold was that which covered by one walking an 18 hour time period... Penn hired experienced and very fast runners and they ran, not walked. http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Pennsylvania+Walking+Purchase%22&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&filter=0 Hope that it helps. Peace and blessings.
