    3. Hi Pauline and Listers, I live in Australia. Pauline, your question.. " I am trying to find out the names of children's homes or orphanages in the county of Delaware, around the time of 1913-1930?? Can anyone help me, I live in the United Kingdom, so I am a bit unsure, in how to find this information" ..wasn't prompted by some reference to the Delaware Orphans' Court, was it? My quest for my gggrandmother's brother, Thomas H. Hoy of Pennsylvania, was thwarted for years because none of us in Australia realised that the Orphans Court dealt with the distribution of deceased estates. Thomas, although illiterate, died owning dozens of properties in Philadelphia, and has a huge mausoleum, now sadly vandalised, in the Mt Moriah Cemetery. He was no orphan! People mentioned in his will whom we haven't yet found connections for are Annie Idell/Idle, John and Thomas Hoy, sons of Samuel, James, John and Thomas Hollis, Jane Spence, Sarah Glenn, Sophia Cordner, Jane,Tillie and Thomas McCartney, Thomas and Robert Arthur Ellwood, and, of course, Mary, James, and William Smith. We all get our fair share of Smiths, sooner or later.
