    1. [PADELAWA] Online Records Available at the Pa. Archives Site
    2. Hi lists, I received this about a month ago & forgot to post it. Happy hunting, Helen (DCGS) In the last few weeks, the Pennsylvania Archives has added some remarkable free online resources to the already-available Warrant Registers at: http://www.phmc.state.pa.us/bah/dam/landrec.htm  "Scanned Land Records" These pages include instructions on how to search the records, and an abbreviated history behind the early process of recording the land transactions.  I've been ordering these survey maps from the Archives for seven years for mapping purposes and it is truly a wonderful addition to online research to be able to avoid the cost and time of waiting for search results and photocopies of survey maps, warrants, and patents to arrive by snail mail.  In addition, the Archives may, in the near future, accept volunteer help in transcribing the already easy-to-read records so in the future a database can be searched rather than having to review page-by-page hundreds (likely thousands) of pages.  Possibly RootsWeb could help the Archives to organize this effort. Specifically the resources are: Warrant Registers Patent Indexes Copied Survey Books Patent Tract Name Index East Side Applications (Register) West Side Applications (Register) New Purchase Register Please pass on! ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    1. [PADELAWA] Ettore (Arthur) & Giacinto BERARDINTELLI -- (Yeadon)
    2. Buongiorno list, I'm looking for information on Ettore (Arthur) BERARDINTELLI, b. 25 Jun 1884, Castel di Sangro, Italy & d. 26 Feb 1981, Miami, FL. He lived in the Yeadon area & is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery. His son, Giacinto (George) BERARDINTELLI, b. 17 Jul 1915, Philadelphia, PA & d. 22 Nov 1973 in Los Angeles, CA. He, also, lived in the Yeadon area & is believe to be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery. Did George marry & have children? Is there SKS that could look up an obit for either the father or son or both? I'm trying to find the "married names" of Ettore's two daughters & where they might be buried: Michelina (Margaret) BERARDINTELLI, b. c1914 & Lenia (Linda) BERARDINTELLI, b. c1917 Does anyone live close to Holy Cross Cemetery & can search for the gravestones of this family? A relative of theirs, from Italy, contacted me. He is trying to find the descendants of Ettore BERARDINTELLI. Thank you very much for any help you can give us! :) Happy hunting, Helen (DCGS) ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    3. Wow, Henry's second wife Annora/Hannorah is my great-grandmother. I think Elizabeth J. is Elizabeth Jackson, but you probably know that already. The first Henry died January 1865 and is buried in Calvary Episcopal Cememtery in Aston. He was in the Civil War -30th PA Vol. Co F but deserted after 30 days. His other son John was also in the Civil War - 197 PA Inf. Co. I and 4th US Art. (as a substitute) and died of small pox in Jan. 1866 and is buried in Arlington Nat'l Cem. There aren't any birth or death records from PA at that time. Only what was recorded at the church. I think Henry (Sr.) wife Elizabeth died around 1886 but I haven't been able to confirm that because the church didn't record the first name. I'll get back to you with more.
