    3. If I wrote a terrabyte of RAM, I was getting ahead of myself............... that's a terrabyte of hard drives which is no big deal today, what with 500g hard drives becoming dirt cheap. I will have my son look at my settings. What I don't understand is why I've received a lot of messages from Helen before but the one that I received garbled is only the 2nd one that I've received like that, IIRC. 3. Al, I just got off the phone with a friend of ours who is a Mac developer and travels around the world for Mac, teaching and lecturing. After reading him these emails....... he says, if you can't read Helen's email and I can it's because something in your settings is turned off that should be turned on. Email is encoded and something in your email is stopped it from de-coding. He said you should have your son check your settings because the problem is not with Helen's computer. A "terrabyte" of RAM????????? Amazing, not even Bill Gates' kids (who by the way have Macs) have 1000 gigs of RAM. Now, let's get back to genealogy discussions. 3. Debbi, I would really be surprised if it was caused by my browser settings because it was email and email has nothing to do with a browser. If anything, it may be because my computer is too refined and powerful to deal with a Mac. >:-} My son built a new computer for me last April and it was the fastest and largest you could buy except for the overclocked CPUs. It's only shortcoming is that I was too cheap to go for another gig of RAM. It does have a duo-core 2.8 mhz CPU and slightly over a terrabyte of RAM. It wouldn't been larger but I had him install a RAID 5 array because I got tired of losing data.
