Martin SHRENK--1820 Swatara twp., Dauphin Co., PA, p.098.) Martin married 7 MAR 1809 in the Salem Reformed Church in Harrisburg, PA to Anna MACHEN. The witnesses were Peter Pancake and Mrs. Joseph Bretz. Anna's sister Elizabeth was wife of Peter Pancake. Anna was born 11 DEC 1780 in Dauphin Co., PA. Martin died 22 DEC 1825 in Swatora twp., Dauphin Co., PA at age 38 of brain fever. Anna died 19 APR 1858 in Harrisburg, PA. She is buried in Harrisburg Cem, Plot B-46. Martin and Anna had at least three children: Elizabeth, wife of Phillip Ensminger of Harrisburg, PA; Andrew born in 1811 and John born in 1812. Hello Bonnie, I'm curious if you can identify some of the members of Elizabeth SHRENK ENSMINGER's household in the 1870 census. (Her husband, Philip, had died n 1864.) The image appears to read (using the enumerator's spelling): ENSINGER, Elizabeth, age 60, female ENSINGER, Fannie, age 25, female (her daughter Frances Marion) ENSINGER, John, age 29, male (her son John Tyler) ENSINGER, Edgar, age 2, male (his son) SHENK, Nanette, age 17, male SHENK, Sarah, age 25, female WIN, Bate, age 13, female WIN, Emma Easy, age 2/12, female I'm guessing the "SHENKS" would be children of one of Elizabeth's brothers?
