Hi everyone, I am trying to find information on the family of Hannah KOCHER. The little information that I have on her follows... Hannah KOCHER was born circa 1830 per the 1850 census (I don't particularly trust this date) In 1850 Hannah and her husband Daniel HENRY were living in Wiconisco Twp., Dauphin Co. with their 2 sons Jacob and John HENRY. [While living in Wiconisco Twp. Hannah and Daniel were surrounded by RICKERTS. I have since found out, from the kind souls on this list, that all of these Rickerts were brothers. One of the Rickert brother's daughters married a gentleman by the last name of BURD that sponsored Hannah and Daniel's son Jacob's baptism.] Jacob and John Henry both enlisted at Pottsville and served in Co A. 50th PA Infantry during the Civil War. Jacob was killed in action at the Battle of Wilderness and, thanks to yet another kind soul, I've found out that there is mention of Jacob's death in the records of Friedens Church (Clauser's Union) which suggests that they were living in Schuylkill Co. during the war. I haven't yet had a chance to check the 1860 census for the area. I have however scoured the 1850 census and found quite a few KOCHER families in both Dauphin Co. and Schuylkill Co and am hoping that someone may know which one Hannah may belong to. If anyone could point me in the direction of some other area KOCHER researchers I would really appreciate it. Sorry to be so long winded, Kristin
