We revisited the SWARTZ / NISSLEY Cemetery in PA - Dauphin Co - Lower Swatara Township to check on it's sad deteriorating condition. The photos on my Swartz page don't tell the full story. Care to look? SWARTZ CEMETERY <http://home.att.net/~charliefies/Swartz.html> Some Swartz relatives did some restoration 10-15 years ago, but since then something happened. Stones were moved, left lying on top of the wide wall cap surrounding the cemetery. Christian Swartz, arriving here aboard the PHOENIX about 1754, is buried here, along with several generations. Approximately 16 tombstone recordings are listed on the Swartz page, and you may be interested in giving it a look-see. The photos are a bit large, so wait a minute while they load. You can read the interments table while waiting, so it isn't all lost. The history accompanying this cemetery is fascinating, and I'll include it on the page when time permits. Also listed are 20 interments in the Nissley Mansion Cemetery, wherever that is. The Swartz homestead was surrounded by Nisleys, and inter-married, giving reason to believe there is a connection between the two cemeteries.
