Wish I could have saved the hours and hours of walking the numerous rows in cemeteries looking for someone who wasn't there! All my roots are in BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA. Since I couldn't find any more there, I began looking for other people right across the street in the Geyer's Hillsdale cemetery, and sorta got taken with the project. You see what I accomplished. I've never inquired about other records like marriages, births, and baptisms in Geyer's Church, just the burials. By being more specific about a certain individual or line of ancestors, I could inquire about them just down the road on my side of the street. I could tell you a little bit about Charlie Welcomer and his dad Charlie, but not very much. Charlie's mother/wife just passed away recently, I believe, but don't recall the details. Geyer's is a relatively small church, yet their burials come from all over the countryside, many not being it's members and therefore no local records. Let me know who in particular you are looking for (not the whole frying shop!) and I'd be more than willing to check them out for you. After all, I ought to do more than just wave to the Pastor as I go by daily!
