Today I located on microfilm the marriage record of Samuel Ulrich and Polly Alleman, who was married by Rev. Augustus Hoffman Lochman, Pastor of Zion Church in Harrisburg on Oct. 28, 1830. Does anybody know where that church was located, or does it still exist today? Was it Lutheran or Church of the Brethren? Also found the marriage record of Frederick Eshenour and Polly Gelman(Dec. 13, 1831)
Zion Lutehran Church (717) 234-4064 15 south 4th Street HARRISBURG PA (don't know the ZIP Code) It's an old place. The Whig Party convention with the "Tippercanoe and Tyler Too" deal took place there. It's very near the Pennsylvania Railroad (now AMTRAK) station. Cordially, Karl E.
