I'm at a brick wall.   I have been searching for the parents and siblings of my great grandfather George Snyder born June 30, 1823, Married Elizabeth Hoover Aug. 15, 1843 in Harrisburg, PA.   His 1850 household is listed in So. Hanover Twp, Dauphin Co., PA. Elizabeth Hoover dau of Abram and Rebecca Hoover of Lower Paxton Twp., Dauphin Co., PA. I think his father was a George or a John.   The 1880 Census says that both his parents were born in Germany.   At present I am interested in the 1830 & 1840 household of Mary Snider/Snyder of Middletown, Dauphin Co., PA.   She has two sons listed in 1840 of the right age range to fit my George.   However as yet I have not been able to find any info on her.   I've essentially eliminated a George and a John Snyder both of Derry Twp., Dauphin Co. as possible fathers of my George.   So I remain at a brick wall. Will appreciate any suggestions that may aid my research. Bob in MI
