We visited the cemeteries at Lykens on Saturday and were amazed at the poor condition. Many stones in the Old Union Cemetery are broken and some lay on the ground. Some of the grass had not been mowed which is a shame on Memorial Day weekend. We've seen a lot of cemeteries that are kept in nice condition and wonder why these cemeteries are so poorly maintained.
