I am looking for any information on this man. I am not sure if he was born in Dauphin or Schuylkill County. He died in 1937 and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville. He was married to Katie Lehman. I would like to know who their parents were. Thanks for any help Tonya

Ira N. Koppenhaver, Koppenheffer, Kopenhaver, Cop(p)enheffer/haver, etc was born (according to the 1900 Elizabethville Borough census) in January of 1875, only son of Charles (born June, 1853) and Kate (born November, 1852) Koppenhaver (etc). He had 2 sisters Mary E. (born about 1873) and Annie V. (born about 1877). This family is found in the 1880 Upeer Paxton, Dauphin census. By the 1900 census, Charles and Kate say that they have been married 28 years (1872?) and that they have had the 3 children, but only 2 survive, Ira (who is still living at home) and presumably a married sister. Charles Koppenhaver was a son of Daniel Koppenheffer and Fanny Bordner. Their entire family (they had 12 children) are in the 1850, 1860 & 1870 Washington township censuses in Dauphin county. Daniel Koppenheffer was born and died in Lykens Valley (1814-1873). Charles was born in Washington twp therefore and Ira was born in either Washington twp or Upper Paxton twp if the 1870 and 1880 censuses are any guide. Daniel and Fanny's 12 children were (in order of birth): Phoebe, Uriah (June, 1838), Elizabeth, Rebecca, James Monroe(March, 1844), Cornelius(August, 1845), Catherine, Solomon, Charles(June, 1853), Benjamin Franklin, Mary, and Daniel(October, 1859).
