Charles: Can you please post the e-mails of the Shelley descendants of Shelley Island? I'm related to an Abraham Shelley who came here to Michigan. He was originally from Shelley's Island, and left there before the 1850 census. He was married there on the island in a double wedding ceremony with his sister, as I recall. A number of us who never have been there were trying to dredge up some of the early history of that island. We found they had a number of large fisheries there at one time, and that it was sort of a resort island for local social clubs to take outings to in the 1800's. ---Richard ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles E.
