Hi! I am seeking info on my 3rd great-grandfather, (John) Isaac Frantz, b. cir 1818. His wife was named (Sarah) Elizabeth ?. They had a daughter, my 2nd great-grandmother (Mary) Angeline Frantz, b. 1846 in DuBois, PA (or lived there). Angeline married David Grant Walborn and she died 1923 in DuBois, Clerfield Co. I have a suspicion that Isaac could have been born in Dauphin Co. Thanks for any help! Rhonda
Hello Rhonda, I cannot help you with the precise names you mention, but I do want to be sure you know that the spelling FRANTZ was interchanged with the spelling FRONTZ in the Susquehanna Valley, the region where you are researching. So you need to be on the lookout for both spellings. I have a Chalmers FRONTZ (1873-1963) wed to a Mary Noetling. He was born above the forks of the Susquehanna in Hughesville, educated in Springfield OH, served parishes in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York, and returned to live out his last years in the Susquehanna Valley at Selinsgrove. Regret I have nothing I can offer you on the ancestors, parents or siblings of Chalmers FRONTZ. If you ever see the forename "Chalmers" in your research on FRANTZ, will you please let me know! Hi Nelson, Thank you, and I will be on the lookout for Chalmers. And thank you for the heads up on the Frontz spelling, too!
