In Wright's "Pa. Medical men in the Revolution", this John Leidigh is attributed as being ' "Dr. John" born February 7, 1730, died May 8, 1817, buried at First Evangelical Lutheran Churchyard, Chambersburg, Franklin Co., Pa.' Although his actual grave location is not known, this information appears at odds with other information which would place him in Lancaster Co. [present Lebanon Co.] and his descendants in Lebanon, Dauphin, and Cumberland Cos. of Pa. and in Ohio. Any further information would be greatly appreciated. Tony Hoover Lancaster, Pa. Note - 1.Alternative spellings found include Leady, Leidy, Lettich, Leidig, Lidig, etc. 2. There may[?] be some connection to the families of Lenard Michael Leidig and John Michael Leidig of Warwick/Elizabeth townships of Lancaster Co in the 1750's.
