[email protected] :) I thought the adjacent lots might be helpful! :) julie joseph :) Most of my information comes out of a publication, "The CHRONICLES of MIDDLETOWN", written around 1900 by C. H. Hutchinson and available from the Middletown Library for about $20.00 plus shipping (I believe) It details the settlement of Middletown and those men involved therewith, tradesmen of all sorts. I found it fascinating to see the businesses come and go, change ownerships, who lived where and whatever else took place many years ago. Those few lines I quoted are all the information in it mentioning YENTZERs. I checked a few other sources, but YENTZER did not turn up in my limited resources. Perhaps your best bet would be to check the church they attended, and hope the church records show births, baptisms, deaths, and the like. Church records have been my best source of ancestral documentation, except for their occupations. :( > Sorry to bother you again, Charles, but I'm quite interested in those YENTZER men. Could you tell me how I could get more info? I know that Enoch is my gg-grandfather and John and George fit in somewhere as either his brothers or uncles--there are too many Georges and Johns!! At least there were only 2 Enochs--much easier to trace! Who would I contact to get info on the Middletown Guards?? I have already tried to get military records from NARA on all three, but to no avail. Enoch's grandfather, John YENTZER, served in the Rev. War and I have his pension record, but nobody else seems to be there:-( I know from these records that Enoch's father, George, was dead, but his heirs were in Dauphin County in 1855. > > Any help as to where to write to next would be a great help! > > Sorry to be a bother, > Julie > -- > > --------- Original Message --------- > > DATE: Wed, 12 May 2004 19:57:24 > From: "Charles E.
