In the 1880 Philadelphia census, there is an Elmira McCleese, wife of James McCleese. She is 24 and staying with them is her sister Alice Young, age 14 and going to school. In this census, Elmira is transcribed as Elira, but in the subsequent censuses (1900 & 1910), she is listed as Elmira. She named one of her sons Milton and in the 1900 census she says that she has had 10 children but only 6 survive, and that she has been married 26 years (1874), and that her birthdate was August of 1855. She is with her parents(?), Samuel and Eliza Young, in both the 1860 and 1870 Lower Swatara censuses. Hope this gives you a few leads
