Posted to Lancaster and Dauphin County Lists: Looking for information on the family of Samuel Brand. According to his gravestone, he was born in Dauphin County, PA 12 Dec 1802 and died in Tippecanoe County, IN, 21 Sep 1872. I believe his father to be Samuel Brand, born 12 Mar 1770 in Dauphin Co., PA, d 12 Nov 1832, Butler Co., OH. I am trying to verify his ancestry. It seems likely that he was descended from Sameuel Brand/Brandt, d 1784. I have seen conflicting information on the last name. There are several Brandt biographies listed on the Lancaster Web Site, including: BRANDT, DAVID BRANDT, DAVID H. BRANDT FAMILY BRANDT, FREDERICK H. BRANDT, HARRIET BRANDT, JOHN BRANDT, MRS. MARGARET BRANDT, MRS. MARIA E. BRANDT, MRS. MARY P. BRANDT, SAMUEL L. Is there anyone that does lookups/copies that could provide copies of these biographies to me? I would be happy to transcribe them for the Lancaster site. My hope is that they are interconnected enough to provide insight to my ancestry.
