    3. Daniel - I've gone through all the censuses and believe that I've found quite a bit of information for you and hope that it helps. 1850 Halifax census: Henry Chubb, age 34, shoemaker, born Pa Mary, age 29, wife, born Pa Harriet E., age 9 Adeline C., age 6 Charles C., age 3 Isaac F. , age 8 months John Chubb, age 19, (born August 1832), shoemaker, is living with them (he turns out to be a brother of David W. Chubb (born 1847). John and David's parents were John (born abt 1800) and Hester Ann(born abt 1803) Chubb. 1860 Halifax census Henry, 44 Mary, 39 Harriet, 19 Adeline, 16 Charles, 13 Isaac, 10 William H., 7 Sarah, 4 Emma, 1 1870 Halifax Henry, 52 Mary, 48 Charles, 22 Isaac, 21 James, 6 1880 Halifax Charles Chubb, 33, single Mary Chubb, 60, widow, mother James, 15, brother F. Hain, age 4, nephew (I suspect that this is a son of Charles' sister (either Harriet or Adeline, and that the child's mother has died) 1900 Halifax census Isaac Chubb, born September, 1849 - shoemaker Amelia, (born 1854), wife of Isaac Mary, born September, 1820, mother, widow, born in Pa of parents born in Pa. She says that she has had 8 children but only 3 are still living by 1900 (Isaac, James, and William only). In the 1910 Halifax census are James and his wife Jennie, showing that they have been married 15 years (married 1895?) and that they have have 4 children - all living. Jennie says that it is her first marriage and James says that it is his 2nd marriage. So, it seems that James was 1 of 8 children and that only the 3 sons lived until at least 1900. His parents were both born in Pa (father Henry about 1816 and mother Mary in 1820. Mother Mary's parents were also both born in Pa. I would gather they are all buried in Halifax Borough or close to it. Hope this helps, Sue
