I've "rescued" an old photograph of James BOYD Jr. with what would appear to be his Mother. The photograph was taken at the Lemer Studio in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania when James was just an infant. In addition to his name, someone has also written "Born July 2 1888" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to find the following information regarding James and his family: James BOYD b. 2 July 1888 in Harrisburg, PA to parents John Yeomans BOYD & Eleanor Gilmore HERR, he died before 1970. His father John Yeomans BOYD was b. 19 Aug 1862 in Danville, PA to parents James BOYD and Louisa YEOMANS. His Mother, Eleanor Gilmore HERR was b. 18 Feb 1866 in Harrisburg, PA to parents Andrew Jackson HERR and Nancy Jane GILMORE. James BOYD had three siblings, Andrew Jackson Herr BOYD b. 29 Feb 1892; Eleanor Gilmore BOYD b. 18 Feb 1894; and Louisa Yeomans BOYD b. 7 Mar 1896. BOYD, dau, age 4, born Mar 1896, born PA + 1 Butler + 3 servants + 1 nurse + 1 cook + 1 governess 1910 census of Harrisburg, PA: John Y. BOYD, age 46, married 22 years, born PA, parents born PA/MA, a State Railroad Commissioner Eleanor Herr BOYD, wife, age 43, married 22 years, 4 children/4 living, born PA, parents born PA James BOYD Jr., son, age 21, born PA Jackson Herr BOYD, son, age 18, born PA Eleanor Gilmore BOYD, dau, age 16, born PA Louisa M. BOYD, dau, age 14, born PA Lucy S.
