Can anyone give me information on the White House Tavern, on White House Lane at the Susquehanna River and on the property of R. Niebling? On February 28, 1851 Mahala NEIBLING RITTERSPACH petitioned the Dauphin County Court for a license to operate the tavern. On October 16, 1852 Mahala died and is buried in the Stoner Farm graveyard. So how old is the White House? Who owned it before R. Neibling? Anyone with history of Lower Swatara Township is welcome to contribute to our growing data file.
