Dear Bill, I am crying. I have looked and looked and maked plans to go to PA in April to look for this burial site of my husbands great grandparents. You just don't know how happy you have made a lot of Hokes. My father-in-law, George Wellington Hoke, Jr., who is not in good health these days, is son of George Wellington Hoke, Sr. George was son of Jonas and Caroline Gable Hoke. I am singing in the snow all the way from Dayton, OH. You are WONDERFUL. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH.  I am calling him tonight to let him know that he can now know where his grandparents are buried. Jonas was married before to Caroline Lovina Moyer. She died shortly after they married and I believe had two sons, William and John Henry Hoke. They may have died as infants. But by 1870, Jonas Hoke had left Elizabethville and moved to Valley View where he married Caroline Gable and started a new family. It states in his Military papers that the first wife was buried in the cemetery in Elizabethville without a marker. I believe that the two sons may be there too. I hope to find which cemetery they are in and get a marker for them. Thank you again.  Unknowns Once I had a name, a face, a beating heart, and now all I have is a grave unmarked    Helen L. Smith Hoke (I chase dead people....and they are so far ahead of me, I'll never catch up. I think they're hiding under rocks.Dear Bill,
