A lot of individuals have pulled their information from websites or have made them private..... other "researchers" are canabalizing the information - merging lines that don't match - not crediting sources - and other wise ruining good research. Even worse, some are passing it off as their own and trying to sell it. I have shared information with individuals researching the same lines, only to find another person has taken it and added it to their tree.... not relation... just "accumulating" names. Also, information has been twisted and become inaccurate. It is frustrating to see work you have done (in my case, it goes directly to my father, and I am the only one in my family working on the line) appear credited to another.
