Hi! I'm new to posting - I've been just reading for awhile. I'm researching the names VANHORN and BATES in Dauphin County. I'm wondering if anybody knows where Hoffman's Woods are/were. My ggrandfather, Charles Henry VanHorn, apparently lived on a farm next to these woods, as written in his obituary in the Harrisburg Telegraph in Jan, 1882. I know where his father John Wesley VanHorn lived, since it's listed on the 1875 Susquehanna Township map, but I don't know about Charles. Thanks!
