Amen to your suggestions!!!! I live in a state where I have no ancestors so I do my research by mail or internet. I am currently employed but one of my retirement projects is to volunteer to do online data input from microfilm. There are so many helpful researchers on the lists that I belong to, people who have done look-ups both from the books/CD's in their possession and from the physical location of the record. I feel obligated to pay my dues however I can.
