Basically your right....That is generally the structure....Battery (in stead of Company) is used in Artillery Units...that is even true today.. In Cavalry units today they go by Troup (instead of Company), this carries over from the Regular Army Unit of the 1800's...ie. 7th Cav (Gen Custer's unit)..
