    3. What were their names? There is a database on-line at Ancestry.com for early German Pa marriages which I could check out for you. Sue

    3. Good luck - I probably already looked there. But if you find them, let me know! Jacob Weiss (I've seen Wise, Weise, Weis) and Johanna Susanna. She often americanized it to Joanna Susanna. Their children, from the census, appear to have been: Sarah Elizabeth b around 1835 in Pennsylvania Harriet C. born around 1838 Mary Ann born between 1840 and 1842 Barbara Anna b about 1843 Jason born in 1848 or 1849 and apparently not living in 1860 Amanda R, likely the same person as Rejina, born about 1846 or 1848 Alice J. b about 1857 Regina/ Rejina was a rare name that if you search the census in 1870 for Dauphin County under those first names alone you come up with only a couple of names. Jacob Weiss owned a large piece of land in Highspire where the railroad tracks went. In 1870, 23-year old Regina Day and her husband, Peter Day, both allegedly born in Wurtemburg, and their infant son, born in Pennsylvania, were living next door to Jacob Weiss. However, Jacob and his wife consistently reported taht they were born respectively in Switzerland and Germany and their children were all born in the U.S. This is another marriage it would pay to find hte record of. 2. Hi I saw your post on the Dauphin List. I'd aappreciate you looking for Ludwig Brandt to Mary Byers, around 1770-1780 and also Martin Brandt to Anna Margareta Kroner and that would be as early as 1740 perhaps. Thanks for any help you can give.
