Hello Everyone, I am new to the list. In my search for my 3rd great grandparents, I always end up back in Dauphin County. My gg-grandad was George W. YEAGER. According to a marriage application of his youngest daughter, George was born in HARRISBURG PA, Dauphin County, abt 1830. A lady named Judie Ann was recently kind enough to do a look up in the Federal Census. She found George Yeager, Harrisburg, in both the 1820-1830 census. I feel this is possibly my 3rd great granddad. I have information he may have been born in New York. Does anyone know of other records available that may help? City directories? (jail list, ya never know!). Anyway, I am open to suggestions. I even hired a professional a few years ago with no results. I was able to eventually find George in Preble Co Ohio married to Amanda CREGAR. They moved to Indiana abt 1855-58, raised a family and died there 1889. BTW- other spellings; Jager, Yager.
