    3. The only SHIVE bio is one on page 1169, of Edward L. Shive, who was born 11 Jun 1835 in Lykens Valley, a son of John Shive (born in Lykens Valley in 1801) and Sarah Wert (also born in Lykens Valley). In Lebanon county, specifically in Lebanon Borough, in the Salem Lutheran Church burial ground on East Cumberland Street, is buried a Catherine Shive, wife of D. Shive, born 1 July 1797 and died 18 Jan 1858. Also from Lebanon county was a William Shives who died in the Civil War, dying 18 April 1864 and buried Culpepper Courthouse in Virginia.     3. Hi; My name is William H. Penrose. I live near Sacramento, CA. My great grandfather, Charles Hartman Penrose, married an Ann Jane Shive about 1849 she was born in Dauphin ( I think in Gratz) in 1823 and died in 1903 and is buried alongside her husband in Ohio.
